Day 3 WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2017

Caesarea Maritima / Mt. Carmel / Mt. of Beatitudes
Today we depart for the Galilee, visiting the following Biblical sites: Caesarea Maritima, where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion (Acts 9 & 25), Mt. Carmel where Elijah prayed and God defeated 450 prophets of Baal with fire from heaven (1 Kings 18). We continue to the Galilee area. Before heading to our hotel in Tiberias, we make a stop at the Mt. of Beatitudes, where we enjoy time for spiritual reflection and meditation as we reflect on Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5:1-15) and enjoy the beautiful view of the Sea of Galilee. Arrive into Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017

Caesarea Philippi / Capernaum / Peter’s Primacy / Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee
After breakfast, we head to the Golan Heights to visit Caesarea Philippi where Jesus asked His disciples “who do men say that I am?” (Mark 8: 27-30, Matt. 16:13) We head back to the Sea of Galilee for a visit to Capernaum (Mark 1: 31-38), the base of Jesus’ early ministry, the home of Peter, and the site of many healings. We then take a short ride to the Northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee to visit Peter's Primacy, a place that allegedly marks the spot of Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter as chief of the Apostles. Then we head to take a ride on the Sea of Galilee aboard a replica “Jesus Boat”; a fishing boat of the kind used by the disciples of Jesus. We head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2017

Mt. Arbel / Dead Sea / Bethlehem / Jerusalem
After breakfast we check out of the hotel. We begin our day with a visit to Mt. Arbel, with its panoramic view of the Galilee area. We depart the Galilee and head to Jerusalem with a stop for an opportunity to float in the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth.  We leave the Dead Sea area and ascend to Jerusalem, making a stop in Bethlehem for a short visit at the Church of Nativity. We continue to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017

Israel Museum to Visit the Shrine of the Book and the Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period / Mount of Olives / Palm Sunday Road / Garden of Gethsemane / Church of Agony / Pools of Bethesda / Via Dolorosa
We begin the day with a visit to the Israeli Museum, to visit the Shrine of the Book and the Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period. Then we head to the beautiful Mount of Olives to behold the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Old Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed. We will enter Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate, and walk the Via Dolorosa, with stops at St. Anne’s Crusader Church, Pools of Bethesda, the “Pavement” where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate. We end our walk at the the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We then head to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Caiaphas House), the site believed to be where Peter denied Jesus three times before the rooster crowed. We end our day with a visit at the Garden Tomb for worship and communion. We return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2017

Western (Wailing) Wall / Upper Room / King David’s Burial Tomb / Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Caiaphan House) / Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum) / Tel aviv airport
Following breakfast, we head to the Old City through the Dung Gate to visit, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod's temple. Beyond the wall lies the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Samuel. 24:18-25). On this site now stands El-Aksa Mosque, and the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in Islam) followed by a short visit to the Upper Room, believed to be the location of the last supper. From here we take a short walk to the Tomb of King David. We then head to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Caiaphas House), the site believed to be where Peter denied Jesus 3 times before the rooster crowed. We end our day with a visit to Yad Vashem. We then head to the Tel Aviv Airport to catch our flight back to the USA stopping along the way to have dinner.
